Buying a Regulated MOD to Vape Your Favorite NicVape E-Liquids

For all the vapers new to this space or looking to take the next leap forward, you might not be too sure about what a regulated MOD is. If you have never actually researched these types of devices, or for that matter talked to anyone about this topic, you could be in the dark as to what they are and how they operate.

With the popularity of vaping fast outstripping traditional cigarettes, especially from a technological standpoint, you will want to know what these MODs do so you can make the best choice for yourself. It should be mentioned that there really isn't a "right" or "wrong" answer to which design or model you should purchase, but rather what your preferences and tastes tell you. Preference are how it works and its features and tastes referrers to how well it vaporizes your NicVape e-liquid and if you want to be able to cloud or flavor chase with it.

For those who are already familiar with a regulated MOD, as it is likely you could be vaping with one, whether you know it. It is a small circuit board that controls the current through the device. Again, if you're just starting out with vaping or you bought a less expensive unit, you probably have a regulated MOD. It should have a display to let you view or adjust the voltage, wattage, Ohms and/or battery life.

Obviously, different manufacturers will have slightly unique offerings, but these are basic guidelines.

A good indication of whether a regulated or unregulated MOD is right for you can be obtained by answering the following questions:

  • Are you a newbie vaper? You might want to stick to a regulated MOD until you can gain some more experience.
  • Are you looking for huge clouds? You might want to check into an unregulated MOD but do your research. High-end regulated units can produce large clouds as well even though they are on the pricier side.
  • Are you on a budget? Regulated MODs tend to be cheaper and easier to use. They can also usually be charged less as they should have better battery life. This deems them “safer” when it comes to battery integrity. Not that you should be overly worried about an explosion, but it is a possibility.
You may hear some vapers in person or online bashing regulated or unregulated for one reason or another. When it comes down to it, it’s all about what kind of experience you want and how much you might be willing to spend. For the casual vaper, it can be fine to stick with a regulated, less expensive MOD. If you're seasoned vaper and want to mess around with different options, go and check out the unregulated and mechanical MODs. In the end, the choice is yours.
