Is It a Good Idea to Boost a Salt-Based E-Juice's Flavor?

If you find yourself drooling while checking out the selection of e-liquids at NicVape, you just might be a flavor chaser. Flavor chasers are vapers who prioritize their flavor experience above all other aspects of vaping such as cloud size and throat hit. After all, one of the best things about vaping is that we can treat ourselves to spectacular flavors all day long without having to pay any attention to calories.

Now that salt-based nicotine is ruling the vaping world, many of our flavor-chasing customers are wondering if they can boost the flavor of their salt nic e-juice. As you’ll see, there’s no reason why flavor chasers can’t enhance their flavor experience while enjoying their nicotine salts.

What Does it Mean to Boost an E-Liquid Flavor?

Let’s say you’re a custard fiend. There’s something about that rich and creamy taste that sends your taste buds into a state of pure euphoria. Meanwhile, you’re trying to watch your waistline, so you know that indulging in a big bowl of the real thing might not be the best idea. So, you purchase a custard-flavored e-liquid to satisfy your cravings. However, the custard just isn’t coming through strong enough to keep said cravings at bay. So, what do you do? You boost the flavor.

As you probably already know, e-juices contain four ingredients: vegetable glycerin (VG), propylene glycol (PG), nicotine and, of course, flavoring. To boost a liquid’s flavor means to increase the amount of flavoring in the juice’s formula. Most standard juices contain about ten percent flavoring. A boosted vape flavor may contain as much as thirty percent flavoring.

Can Salt Nic E-Liquids be Boosted Just Like Freebase Ones?

What makes salt-based e-juices different from the conventional ones that are made with freebase nicotine is simply that they contain a different kind of nicotine. All of the other ingredients are the same. However, the concentration of nicotine in the e-liquid’s formula tends to be higher than the concentration of freebase nicotine in a conventional vape juice.

However, there’s no reason why you can’t boost the flavor of a nic salt e-juice. More flavoring won’t interfere with the salt-based nicotine, or any of the other ingredients for that matter. Therefore, boost away!

How Does Boosting Affect My Overall Vaping Experience?

Because salt nic e-liquids are used with MTL (mouth-to-lung) devices, boosting the flavor shouldn’t really impact your vaping experience in any way other than intensifying the flavor experience. It’s true that more flavoring in a conventional vape juice made for a high-wattage device can interfere with cloud production. However, MTL devices aren’t designed for high-wattage vaping, meaning that they aren’t capable of producing massive clouds.

Additionally, you don’t have to worry that more flavor will somehow interfere with the salt nic’s ability to satisfy your nicotine-related needs.

If You Wanna Boost, the Choice is Yours…

Boosting your salt-based e-juice is a great idea if you’re the type of vaper who yearns for a full, rich and bold flavor.
