When we’re vaping, how many of us stop and think about the pace at which we’re taking our hits? The thing is that all of us vape at our own pace, and we tend to overlook the role that our individual pace plays in many aspects of our experience.
So, is there an ideal pace to vape at? Read on to find out.
As you would expect, there’s no ideal pace to vape at, as we all have our own unique preferences, tolerances, budgets and more. Let’s take a look at the various factors that should be taken into account when deciding which pace is for you.
#1: Your Setup
Yes, your entire vaping setup has a lot to do with the pace that’s going to give you the most satisfaction. High-wattage setups, like powerful sub-ohm mods, give you more vapor per puff, which would mean that you can likely vape at a slower pace, since each hit gives you so much vapor at a time.
#2: Your Nicotine Strength
Your nicotine strength has a lot to do with the pace that’s right for you. Your nicotine strength refers to the concentration of nicotine in your e-liquid, which is measured in milligrams. Many vapers base their pace off of their nicotine strength without even being conscious of it. Typically, the more nicotine is in your vape juice, the slower your pace will be, while those with lower nic strengths will vape faster.
#3: Your E-Juice Flavor
The flavor of your e-juice can play a role as well. For instance, if your vape juice is extremely sweet, you might not feel the desire to vape very quickly, because the sweetness keeps you feeling satisfied for a while before you crave more. Or, if you’re vaping an extremely rich flavor, like one flavored with caramel or custard, you might find that vaping too quickly is simply too much for the palate to handle.
#4: Your Goals with Vaping
We all have different priorities when it comes to vaping, whether they revolve around blowing the fluffiest clouds, or whether we’re trying to just get as much nicotine as possible. This can play a role in your vaping pace. Those who are cloud-chasers tend to vape more slowly, because they’re taking huge hits of vapor to produce those fluffy clouds, while those who are vaping solely for the nicotine content may vape faster because their goal is getting a full amount of nicotine into their system each time they vape. Further, those who have just stopped smoking cigarettes may vape at the same pace that they would traditional tobacco.
#5: Your Nicotine Tolerance
We all have a unique nicotine tolerance, which can certainly impact the rate at which we vape. If your nicotine tolerance is low, you may find that you need to really take your time during each vaping session, or else you feel overwhelmed by all of the nic that’s in your system. If you have a high nicotine tolerance, you might feel like you can’t vape fast enough to keep up with your unique nic demands. Of course, in this case, playing around with the nicotine strength is a better method for satisfying your needs, rather than going through a ton of e-liquid in one day just to get the right level in your system to make you feel satiated.
#6: Your Budget
Finally, your budget plays a role. If you’re trying to stick to a small budget throughout your vaping hobby, you might pace yourself just so that you don’t blow through your e-juice supply too quickly.
The Need for Vaping Slowness or Speed
The pace at which you vape is dependent on plenty of factors, as you can see. At the end of the day, there’s no right or wrong pace, as long as it satisfies your particular vaping priorities.
